Games2Win.com is one of the early providers of online games in India with the largest library of games. The major challenge faced by the company was to increase the game consumption as it was found that majority of the visitors were not being converted into online gamers.
What we did:
At the start off, our focus was to identify the psychological barriers to visit the gaming sites and then to understand engagement dynamics and needs of users vis-à-vis non users of www.games2win.com. All this formed the key information collection areas while evaluating the current interface design and developing a prototype in sync with user expectations. The users and non users of the site were recruited and called at a central location to evaluate the current interface design.
There was a clear distinction in the motivations to use the site (i.e to play the game) between users and non users. This led to differed expectations from users and non users. Considering both the voices, we recommended set of changes required in the current interface with respect to homepage, section pages and actual games also. The recommendations further got translated into the revamp of the entire website which was done by Pure IT team.
